Will this keep me warm when I’m already wet?

Yes—closed-cell neoprene blocks wind and retains heat even when wet, unlike woven shells.

Will it replace my wetsuit?

No—wear it over your suit or layers to block wind and extend warmth between sets.

Can I wear it over a harness?

Yes—the front harness-opening zipper sits flat so you can ride or teach without de-gearing.

What temps is it for?

It kills wind-chill fast. Riders use it in 30-knot wind, 50°F water environments, cold mornings/evenings, and rainy boat days. Think air ~41–68°F (5–20°C) , or any temp with strong wind/spray when you’re wet or standing still.

Is it for in-water use or mainly topside?

Mainly topside: rigging, coaching, safety boat, between sets, post-dive/post-surf, kitesurfing, wingfoiling, jet-ski runs, beach time. It’s fine for splashes and brief immersion, but not for long swims/surfing —like any jacket, the hood/pockets can hold some water if you’re fully submerged.

Can I wear it over a wetsuit?

Yes—that’s the point. Many athletes wear it over 3/2–5/4 suits to extend sessions and stay warm between tacks or after dives. Consider sizing up if you’ll wear it over a bulky wetsuit.

Can I ride/teach while wearing my harness?

Yes. The harness-access zipper lets kiters and windsurfers keep the jacket on while clipped in.

How does the sizing run?

It runs a bit small/slim in the torso (athletic cut). If you’ll wear it over a wetsuit , or you’re between sizes, size up .

What does it feel like? Bulky or light?

Will it actually stop the wind?

Care Instructions

Never leave neoprene in a hot vehicle.
Avoid aerosols, chemical solvents, oil, and gasoline; they can stain and weaken the material.
Always rinse neoprene gear promptly after using it. Never use hot water to rinse or clean neoprene. Always use cool or tepid water.
Never machine wash a neoprene garment. Neoprene can tear if it is stretched by an agitator.
Use only cleaning products that are designed for neoprene.
Keep neoprene away from potential heat sources.
Never put neoprene gear away while it is still wet. To dry a neoprene garment, turn it inside out and hang it from a thick, padded hanger. Wire hangers can damage the fabric.
Avoid folding or compressing neoprene gear.
